Since I had my youngest daughter it seems like my face just went crazy. I mean I have always gotten the occasional pimple or small breakout since I was a teen but this was much worse than that. It was like it went from occasional to full blown adult acne that just wouldn’t go away. I cut out soda, made adjustments to what I was eating, making sure to drink more water and nothing seemed to help at all. I tried so many different products most of which just made it worse. I decided to try something new and ordered an on the go set of this to try out and then ordered the full size system. With the Mary Kay Clearproof set you get four different products made for acne prone skin.
Clarifying cleansing gel: This is the first step in the Clearproof system. It deep cleanses skin to penetrate and clear pores, and it gently removes dirt, and oil. When I started using this I wasn’t sure if I would be able to see results fairly quickly or not and I didn’t know how well it was going to work for me. I saw results literally the next day. Nothing is going to clear your face overnight but this gave me incredible results in just the first day. I could already tell my blemishes were smaller and it helped with redness as well. It does seem to dry my face out a bit in spots I already have issues with dryness in but that is where the moisturizer comes in!
Oil-free moisturizer: I have tried so many different moisturizers over the years to help with an extremely dry T-zone and some have been decent and others just made me go from dry to oily. This has been hands down the best moisturizer I have used. My skin always feels instantly hydrated and has never felt oily after using it. As with all of my moisturizers I tend to blot off the excess with a paper towel or tissue or else no matter what I am using I will look super shiny. I normally use this before bed after cleansing and then also before I apply my makeup. I always wait about 10 to 15 minutes to let it dry before applying my primer or foundation or else you can have the issue of your foundation basically sliding off of your face if your moisturizer hasn’t had time to soak in and dry completely.
Acne Treatment Gel: This little gem helps to clear pimples fast and helps prevent new ones from forming. It can also help fade lingering acne spots too! I use this as a spot treatment anytime I see a new blemish forming to help stop it in its annoying little tracks or to kick an already formed one to the curb. Usually this will clear up any spots for me within a day or two so its always super quick. Its like having a secret acne butt kicking weapon in my makeup bag!
Pore-purifying serum: Usually the Clearproof system comes with a Blemish control toner but my skin likes to be picky and sensitive sometimes to certain things and didn’t really like the toner so I opted to swap that for the pore-purifying serum instead. It has helped with minimizing my pores and adds to everything else with treating and controlling blemishes. It’s a leave on serum so it helps to fight off acne while you go about your day or while you sleep.
You can get the Clearproof Acne System for $45.00 or you can get the On The Go set for $20.00 if you want to give it a spin before you buy the full sized set. Finding a great product to help control my Acne has been like Christmas in July for me. With everything I have tried and how nothing has seemed to work it feels good to finally be on the track to clear skin after what felt like a never ending battle with my face. If you are struggling with Acne and searching for something to help you get clear skin check out Clearproof and see what it can do for you. For me the cost was nothing compared to getting back my confidence and being able to go out and not feel like everyone is just looking at my blemishes.
