Thanksgiving is only a month away and that means it is almost time for Black Friday Shopping! I have been shopping on Black Friday every year since I can remember. This year I plan to sit it out since I will be 8 months pregnant though. 🙁 I wanted to provide you with some helpful tips for those of you planning to go out and conquer the awesome deals!
If you’ve never been shopping on Black Friday, be prepared for craziness! So many people forget what manners are and you will want to drop kick someone before the night is over!

How to survive Black Friday Shopping
Make a list and check it twice. I know that when I go shopping every year, my family and I have a plan of who will pick up what so that we aren’t running all over the place. Making a list makes that so much easier. You can get caught up in the madness of the crowd and forget what you’re after. Having a list makes sure that you don’t forget anything. Because trust me, you won’t want to go searching the store for what you forgot. And if you do, it more than likely will be gone by the time you find it!
Make up a Schedule. Knowing what time stores open and where you will go first makes the day run so much smoother. You will most likely be running on little sleep so having a schedule will be a life saver!
Wear super comfortable shoes/clothes. You will most likely be standing in line waiting for the store to open for a while. Once inside you will want to be as comfortable as possible because you will have to maneuver through crowds and crowds of people. Then have to wait in line to check out for what seems like years. Last year I waited in line for an hour n a half!
Be Polite. You will learn that most peoples manners fly out the window while they are Black Friday shopping. Don’t let that be you!
Bring a buddy. Being able to split up and grab what you need is so much easier than one person trying to do it all. If you try to do it all on your own, you most likely won’t be able to get all that you need. By bringing a buddy with you, you won’t have to get a cart which will make maneuvering around MUCH easier!
Cyber Monday instead of Black Friday. That is what I will be doing this year. I’ve never done cyber monday but, it will be much less chaotic and there will be no crowds to fight! I’m pretty excited about that.
Do you shop Black Friday or wait until Cyber Monday?
