As pools start to open and families start taking their little ones swimming it’s important to be properly educated on water safety. SwimWays is a leader in helping children learn to swim. They started the National Learn to Swim Day back in 2012. On May 21, 2016 it will be the 5th annual National Learn to Swim Day! SwimWays is dedicated to educating parents and their children on water safety as well as how important it is for kids to learn how to swim. They encourage everyone to celebrate this day in their own way and to help take this opportunity to raise awareness. Their Baby Spring Float is the perfect float to introduce babies to water and is the best float on the market.
With three children I know how important it is to make sure your children are safe at all times when they are around water. I think if you start them young it helps to make sure they are not afraid and encourages them to learn to swim. I know from personal experience how hard it can be getting a little one comfortable with water as my middle child was always terrified of having anything to do with swimming or pools in any way. She is now about to be 6 and is just now warming up to the idea of learning to swim. Back when she was younger there weren’t many options so far as floats went and she hated every one we tried. None of them made her feel secure so that she could relax and get used to being in the water.
SwimWays Baby Spring Float is better than any other float I have ever tried with my kids. My youngest loves being in it and feels completely secure. It doesn’t start trying to go under the water like so many others I have tried. Normally when my kids would try moving around just trying to have fun they would always start to kind of sink a little. Makes for a very unhappy baby and a very nervous me! It also has a neat little canopy that helps to keep the sun off of your little one. Its very easy to put together as well, the canopy just snaps right on and it only took a few minutes to blow the float up too! I know my daughter hates when the sun is in her eyes so with the canopy I dont have to worry about it. I love that SwimWays came out with the National Learn to Swim Day as well as products that can actually help teach your kids to swim. Not only are they creating awareness for how important it is to learn proper water safety but they are also helping keep little ones safe with products you can trust that work.
Drowning is the leading cause of unintentional death of children between 1-4. It’s so important that we as parents make sure that not only our children but ourselves as well are aware of proper water safety. To not only educate our selves but also people we know. By spreading awareness we can try to make sure that as many people as possible are educated on water safety. SwimWays National Learn to Swim Day is just a perfect opportunity for everyone to spread the word and help raise awareness.
