If you haven’t heard about the Walmart Beauty Box you are missing out! I just heard about it and of course had to look into what exactly it was about. The basic gist, is that Walmart ships out a box of sample products for every season. So you get 4 boxes a year and only pay shipping. Which is a flat rate of $5. I figured why not and signed up to see if it would end up being worth it.
I figured I would at least get my $5 worth and hopefully more. Plus, I would get to try out products I probably wouldn’t buy on my own. I was hoping to find some new things I liked. I wasn’t sure what to expect at all but was thinking it would be small sized trials of random beauty products. I was surprised when I got it in to say the least. I got 7 products total and though most were trial sized, there were two full sized samples included. Really though, aside from the perfume & BB Cream samples, everything else was decently sized so it felt more like getting full sized items.
First up was a 3oz tube of Colgate Optic White toothpaste. I use Crest 3D White usually but figured I would try this out. I LOVED it! It is now my new go to hands down. It works faster than I feel Crest does so far as whitening and does a better job too. I also like the feel of this compared to Crest. Not sure why I never thought to try this before but I just stuck with what I knew I guess.
John Frieda brilliant brunette was the next thing I got. I usually get my hair professionally done about once or twice a year. I naturally have dirty blonde ends and my hair gets darker as it gets closer to my roots. I wasn’t really sure if this would do much but it did lighten some of my ends. Just slightly, so not sure that I would buy it regularly. I did just have my hair done not too long before so it may work better on hair that hasn’t just been dyed. I plan to use it again and see once my hair has had some time to get rid of the dye.
Next up was this Vaseline intensive care lotion. I was actually just talking to my husband about how I wish I could find one that I really love. I have horribly dry skin lately and cant seem to find a lotion that helps for more than just a few hours. This stuff right here is amazing though. It not only helps but keeps working. I can use it and when I wake up in the morning my skin still feels soft and moisturized. Not sure why I never thought to try this before because I have seen it but just figured one of the other brands would work better. It drys fast and isn’t oily like some others I have tried either, which just makes this a 10/10 in my book!
I was extremely happy about getting the St Ives apricot scrub! I have used the apricot scrub for years and absolutely love it. It always leaves my face feeling extra clean and soft. St. Ives also has one for blackheads that works incredibly well too!
There was a small sample of VeraWang Embrace inside the box as well. It smells good, just not really my kind of scent. It wasn’t overpowering which was nice but I am more of a Love Spell kind of girl. Its not something I would buy for myself.
I never knew Burt’s Bees made BB Cream but apparently they do! This stuff is amazing too. With most BB Creams I dont expect much in the way of coverage. With this BB Cream I felt like I was getting a full coverage after just using a tiny bit. It was just a tiny little sample but with how little I had to use it lasted me two days. It went on so even and easily too, so I will absolutely be buying this to use myself.
The last thing in my box was Goody slide proof pony tails! I wear my hair up a lot so I am always buying pony tails it seems. I am always also having to readjust mine because they always seem to start slipping throughout the day. Not to where it messes my hair up or anything but just enough that I feel like I am always tightening it. These things say slide proof and they mean it! They didn’t budge once and I even have to make sure not to just try and pulling it straight out when I take my hair down. They like to grab on so I have to undo it like I put it in or else my hair tends to get caught in them! I even tried them in my daughters hair and since her hair is so thin still I have always had to use little kiddie pony tails for her. These also work for her hair though so she was super excited to wear one like I do.
Overall I was very pleased and will be sticking with it. I feel I got more than my moneys worth and got to try out some new stuff I wouldn’t have otherwise. I found 4 new products I will be buying and since 1 of the others is a product I already use I would say 4 out of 6 is pretty good! If you want to check it out for yourself head over to Walmart and get signed up for your first box! For just $5 a box you cant really go wrong!
